Journal entry excerpt dated December 13th, 2004:

Magta Lahjar is giving out sand dunes!!! I just found it so surreal and out of this world when I was lead to the sand dunes by my younger sister Ashetu and found dozens of families setting up tents on the dunes, claiming their square of "land" where, one day, there will apparently be the extension of MAgta LAhjar! I will go back and take pictures before leaving for Nktt - Inshallah!

In the meantime my whole family moved out there...
